01The regulation generally applies. Regulation (EU) 2025/40 generally applies from 12 August 2026; individual requirements have different application dates.

02The evidence must persist. Manufacturers retain technical documentation and declarations for 5 years for single-use and 10 years for reusable packaging, measured from placement on the market.

03Suppliers are in the chain. Manufacturers need the information and documentation required to demonstrate conformity.

PPWR is not another PDF.
It is an evidence system.

Your customers do not only need a declaration. They need confidence that the declaration is backed by the current material specification, the right test evidence and a visible change history.

Generic document generators stop at the output. PackDossier handles the evidence work that comes before it and the controlled customer response that follows.

01

Evidence is trapped in inboxes

Specifications, declarations and lab reports arrive from different suppliers in different formats.

02

Every customer asks again

The same evidence pack is repeatedly assembled, renamed and emailed to downstream customers.

03

One change breaks the trail

A material, adhesive or print change can invalidate multiple packaging records without anyone seeing the blast radius.

One packaging record—from supplier files to a controlled customer answer.

Built first for EU packaging converters and suppliers. PackDossier turns specifications, drawings, declarations and test reports into a source-backed record for each construction, then makes ready, missing, expired and conflicting evidence obvious.

Article 15

Keep manufacturer records reviewable

Link each packaging construction to its source evidence, current version and review state so the responsible manufacturer can prepare and retain its technical record without rebuilding it from inboxes.

Article 16

Make supplier handoffs repeatable

Turn specifications, test reports and supplier statements into a reusable evidence pack for the manufacturer instead of assembling a new attachment chain for every customer request.

Article 38 · Annex VII

Prepare a structured assessment file

Organise material, design and test evidence against a consistent technical-file structure so the responsible reviewer can assess it without rebuilding the source trail.

Article 39 · Annex VIII

Keep declaration inputs current

During the founding pilot, use approved record details in a draft declaration structure and keep specification changes visible in version history. The responsible manufacturer reviews, signs and assumes responsibility for the final declaration.

Files in. Gaps found.
Customer answer ready.

One repeatable workflow for converters and packaging manufacturers serving many brand customers.

01

Upload the supplier evidence

Drop specifications, drawings, material statements and test reports into the private record for one packaging construction.

02

See what is ready—and what is not

PackDossier organises the files, proposes source-linked facts and shows missing, expired or conflicting evidence before anything is published.

03

Approve the dossier and answer once

Your reviewer confirms the record, exports the controlled dossier and shares an expiring customer page instead of rebuilding an attachment chain.

A proof page customers can review without seeing everything.

Share only approved construction details, the published version and evidence status through an expiring link. Source files and supplier relationships remain private.

A controlled evidence summary, not a statutory PPWR label or legal certification.

  • One reviewable record for each packaging construction
  • A visible queue for missing supplier evidence
  • Version history as evidence is added or reviewed
  • Customer-ready evidence-summary pages without exposing the full supplier chain

Common questions about the workflow.

Does PackDossier certify packaging as legally compliant?

No. PackDossier prepares source-backed, reviewable compliance documentation. The responsible manufacturer and its qualified reviewers make the final assessment and sign any declaration.

Does every file become public?

No. A voluntary evidence page shows only account-holder-selected summary fields. Source reports and supplier documents remain controlled and are shared only when you explicitly allow it.

Can we use an existing spreadsheet or catalogue system?

Yes. We can start with your Excel catalogue and scope connections to SharePoint, Google Drive, ERP or PLM systems as the workflow expands.

Where can we review the service and data terms?

See the Terms, Privacy notice, Data processing agreement and provider register.
